Notations
About
Notations is a WordPress plugin that allows you to add coloured boxes containing notes, tips and information to your posts and pages. Each note has it's own unique FamFamFam silk image. They can easily be added with only one line of code and can easily be customised by use of the CSS file.
Version Notes
Notations has not yet been released and may change name at a later date. This is just a preview and may not be anything like the actuall release version. Watch this space.

Installation
- Download Notations from the link below.
- Extract the contents of the file to your Desktop.
- Upload the whole folder to "/wp-content/plugins/" on your webserver.
- Go to the Plugin Management section of your WordPress Dashboard and activate Notations.
- Now configure and check for updates for Notations in the Options section of your WordPress Dashboard.
Customisation
- Go to your Notations directory on your webserver and locate the "notations.css" file.
- Make a backup copy of it, so that you can easily revert back if you managed to mess up.
- Open the original copy and edit anything inside that file.
- Save, close and then re-upload it to your webserver.
Usage
- Use the following peice of code inside of your post/page's code view (change your WYSIWYG editor to code view):
- Replace ID with either tip, note, error, warning, success, fail, announce or any custom CSS item ID that you have added to the Notations' CSS file.
- Replace TITLE with the title of the iNote you wish to add.
- Replace CONTENT with the content of the iNote you wish to add.
- Use /n to add a new line to your notation.
OR
- Change your WYSIWYG editor to code view (or, if you have disabled the WYSIWYG editor) use the buttons provided for Notations above the page content text area.
- Type in the data that it queries you for.
- You can now save your post and safely change back to the WYSIWYG editor without losing the Notation (however; it will not be shown on the WYSIWYG editor because it is read as a comment).
